What is a Business English Program​
The Business English course is an excellent choice when you want to improve your English to advance your career.
The Business English course at International House Vancouver will provide you with the opportunity for intensive English studies in a business context. Weekly modules will help you develop essential skills such as writing business emails, participating in meetings and giving formal and informal presentations. You will improve your business vocabulary and gain confidence in your English fluency and comprehension.
Program Objectives

- Improve English language fluency in all skill areas
- Build inter-cultural awareness and linguistic skills in the business context
Upon completion of the programs, students will
- Develop oral and written skills in the business environment

- Practice essential customer service skills relevant to the hospitality and retail sector
- Demonstrate awareness about serving alcohol in British Columbia
- Learn about skills related to food handling
- Understand retail marketing strategies

IH Vancouver has designed its business english courses to provide students with the language and cultural knowledge required in today’s modern workplace.
Our instructors have had years of experience working in the industry. These courses give students both the important information and hands-on knowledge needed for success.
Monday to Friday – 8:50 am to 1:20 pm
Monday to Friday – 8:50 am to 3:20 pm
Class times might shift due to Canadian holidays.
*This program has been approved as part of General English Program by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
Students have the flexibility to study English as a Second Language (ESL) for as short as one week or extend their study until they achieve their desired proficiency level.
*Please be aware that a Study Permit is required for any program with a study duration exceeding six months in Canada.
Class starts week from Monday – Friday. Â
